Talk & Tour: Wildflower Walk

Saturday, September 14, 2019

Join local plant expert Steve Dickman and Heartwood friends for this popular fall wildflower walk and see what’s blooming in the preserve. The Wildflower Walk will start at Heartwood Preserve’s Welcome Center, 4100 Starkey Boulevard, Trinity, 1.5 miles from SR 54. This walk will be one hour.

YOUR GUIDE: STEVE DICKMAN

Steve has lead field trips for the Suncoast Chapter (Hillsborough County) of the Florida Native Plant Society for several years.

He has 22 years of public and private sector experience in Land Management in West Central Florida applying prescribed fire & working to control exotic pest plants.

Steve currently works as Environmental Land Management Technician for Hillsborough County Conservation & Environmental Lands Department.

Wear walking shoes, bring water, and sunscreen if you wish. This walk is appropriate for children age 5 years and older accompanied by an adult, but please leave your dog at home. Call if you have questions: 727-376-5111.

Let’s see how many Native (and not-so-native species) will be identified in 1 hour!
