Gentle Yoga with Jenny

Heartwood Preserve 4100 Starkey Blvd, Trinity, FL, United States

This yoga class is calmly paced and includes stretching, breathing techniques, slow movements, and relaxation. All levels are welcome and modifications of poses will be offered. Your Host: Jenny Hennek My Yoga practice has been included in my dance classes for over 15 years. Yet it was not until after an illness that I discovered my desire to teach Yoga and share its many healing benefits. As I was brought back to health through Hatha Yoga, I hoped others could experience the same. I completed the teacher training program at the Himalayan Center and I am humbled and grateful to teach Yoga and hope to impart the many blessings I have received to my students. My classes are Gentle, with a focus on flowing stretches and a meditative focus of light woven through the teachings. My hope is each student comes away feeling bathed in light and their body and soul feels radiant, flexible and filled with vitality. I believe in a compassionate approach to my practice and in teaching. I enjoy the students I meet, I know in many ways that it is really they who are teaching me. Please Bring:  • A yoga mat • Blanket • Any optional props if needed – blocks, strap, bolster – to help assist in your practice This is a free class, love donations only . ** No pets please. Our Burial Crew is a group of special people who assist with the natural burials that take place at Heartwood Preserve. This is a unique opportunity to help families have a meaningful closure to their loved one’s life. The Burial Crew primarily helps to carry the deceased from the hearse (or other vehicle) to the grave, set the body over the grave, lower the body by hand (with ropes) into the grave, and finish closing the grave - after the family has participated as much as they want. We will go over: What to Expect "Crew" vs "Helper" Dress Code Day-of Routine Safety Logistics Payment Q & A Hands on practice of Lifting & Lowering of the deceased If this sounds like something that you may be interesting in doing, please come and join our staff and current Crew & Helpers for this training night! Growing with Heartwood Preserve (zoom)

Heartwood Preserve 4100 Starkey Blvd, Trinity, FL, United States

Dear Heartwood Families,   Greetings from the longleaf pines of Heartwood Preserve!   I attended a national land conservation convention last year where people from around the country are working hard to protect natural lands. The emphasis is on community-based land conservation. As I think about our work at Heartwood, I feel a community is growing of people who embrace this special place, natural burial, and the conservation of Florida’s natural landscapes. People who have entrusted us with their loved ones and with themselves upon their own death for a final resting place.   In that spirit, I would like to share an evening with you to talk about the Vision and Mission of Heartwood, to share news of how we are growing, to see how you might like to be more involved in our mission and to listen to questions and ideas you may have. This is the second conversation in this ongoing series I would like to have with Heartwood Families.   Because many of you live far from Heartwood and some are in the area, I would like to hold two evenings, one virtual and one in-person. I hope you can attend the one that works for you. TO RSVP: 727-376-5111 info@heartwoodpreserve.com
