An Introduction To Yoga

An Introduction To Yoga

In this one-hour presentation

we will briefly examine the traditional eight-limbs of yoga

towards a practical understanding of its modern application.

Additionally, we will demonstrate pranayama (breath exercises),

asanas (postures), and simple meditation techniques.

This is an all-levels class and can benefit anyone, regardless of their mobility.

Your host will be Justin Martz. Justin is a 200 hour graduate & teacher-trainer at JivaPatha School of Conscious Yoga and House of Light Yoga in Spring Hill, FL. He is a Heartwood Volunteer and ongoing ‘Talk & Tour’ Guest Host.

He teaches professionally throughout the nature coast, focusing on the roots of yoga as a philosophical tradition which incorporates both metaphysical theory and practice of disciplined breath, physical movement, and cognition.

Ground Yourself:

Nature Walking Meditation

We can get so caught up in life, work, holidays, our phones and devices. STOP. BREATHE. Take some time for YOU

Ground Yourself: Nature Walking Meditation at Heartwood Preserve is a one-hour “quiet-time” meditation walk in the woods, where you will experience the peace of the outdoors. The smells, sight of a flower, sound of birds, feeling of the breeze.

Rise above the hustle and bustle and begin your day

focused, centered, and connected with nature.

De-Stress with your Guide Justin Martz. Justin will lead us for a morning meditation walk followed by seated breath work for inner peace and deep relaxation. Justin Martz is a 200-hour graduate & teacher-trainer at JivaPatha School of Conscious Yoga & House of Light Yoga, in Spring Hill, FL.
