Talk & Tour: Earth Day

Earth Day Talk & Tour: Topic: “Native Plants Are Not Weeds!”

Saturday, April 21, 2018

 9:00 AM – 10 AM

Join us for our monthly Talk & Tour Series at Heartwood Preserve.

Come and learn about Florida’s Native Plants from our Guest Speaker, a Master Gardener & a member of the Nature Coast Chapter of the Native Plant Society: Mary Ellen Gotto.

What are native plants?  What is the importance of native plants to the environment and for wildlife?

Find out more about purchasing and planting Florida Native Plants for your home.

Handouts available to take with you AND one very lucky attendee will leave with a door prize: a Native Plant from Mary Ellen’s personal, award-winning garden!

This Talk & Tour will last about one hour, and all ages are welcome.

Reservations are not required but appreciated.

Meet at Heartwood’s Welcome Center.
