Our “tree leader” for this talk is Mr. Joe Gross. Joe is a native Floridian and USF graduate (Criminology BA and MPA).
He has served in regulatory capacities for several jurisdictions within the Tampa Bay region and joined Hillsborough County in 2015.
He has been a Certified Arborist for over twenty years and is also a Master Naturalist and Master Gardener.
- Good attire for planting: gardening gloves, light breathable clothing, sunscreen, insect repellent, sunhat, closed toed shoes
- Bad attire for planting: sandals, opened-toe shoes, white sneakers, and basically any garment that is afraid to get dirty.
- All tools needed to plant trees will be provided. However, if you have a shovel, please bring it.
- Restrooms and water fountain are available. Snacks will be provided.
- PETS: We love pets, but for their safety and the safety of others, please leave them at home when you are attending Talk & Tours.
